Comment of the Day: On the Chad Holley Arrest

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We wrote on how Chad Holley, the focus of what will be a series of HPD beating trials, was arrested following another robbery.

Some comments were predictably over the top; others were more nuanced.

He’s a burglar, and a snot-nosed ingrate.

However, even if you’re a burglar and a snot-nosed ingrate, it doesn’t give the police the right to hit you with a car then give you a 10-man beating while you’re laying on the ground. Those cops deserved to lose their jobs
