We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We noted the remarks of a leader of the Tea Party movement in Texas, who bemoaned the high number of Hispanics in the legislature and said it was why “good” illegal-immigrant laws couldn’t get passed.
One reader noted the argument could be taken to other aspects of the lege.

Wow. I am the last one to support illegal immigration, but I fully support all legally elected American citizens in our legislature’s right to be there. You could use this ‘too many’ argument in so many cases though so I am going to start with…. the recent anti-abortion legislation only passed as there are too many men in the legislature. We have to do something about that.
