We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We reported on widespread Twitter rumors of “a riot” at Lamar High; HISD spokesman Jason Spencer initially said it was all a prank and there had not even been any fights at the school.
We then posted videos showing two fights. It wasn’t exactly a “riot,” but it wasn’t “no fights at all,” either.
One commenter said we were wrong.

Ok?! Clearly it was some kind of aggressive square-dance that involved wild punches, and you’re seeing a “fight” because you want to see one. Quit trying to make innocent district employees look like incompetent bullshitters.
