The city of Houston’s new premier park downtown came through Ike virtually unscathed, according to spokeswoman Susannne Theis.

“Some young trees were uprooted and will have to be re-set,” she said.

Restaurants on site, including the Grove, however, are not open for business yet. Employees on Monday were on site assessing the damage, Theis said.

UPDATE: Both the Grove and the Lakehouse are open for business Tuesday.
