A two-alarm apartment-complex fire at Dashwood and Kirkwood was put out this morning, but not without a little doggie rescue work.
The name of the firefighter — not to mention the dog — was unavailable.
HFD says “arson investigators have ruled the cause of a fire in the 4500 block of S. Kirkwood as accidental, due to an electrical malfunction or short in the wiring in and around a furnace.
“Six apartment units were destroyed and six additional units suffered from smoke and water damage after an apartment fire in the 4500 block of S. Kirkwood, this morning. “
