Heavy rain began in the morning hours of Independence Day and is expected to continue in to the late evening. Several road closures occurred as a result of flash flooding in the Houston area. Many bayous swelled to contain the prolonged rainfall. The Freedom Over Texas celebration concerts were cancelled, but fireworks are still a go. (Photos by Doogie Roux)
