According to multiple reports, President Bush (George HW) was moved to ICU on Sunday and is in guarded condition with a persistent fever. He was admitted to Methodist the day after Thanksgiving for treatment of bronchitis, but suffered setbacks last week that landed him in the ICU.
Doctors say he is surrounded by family, who spent Christmas Day with him in the hospital. The former president is 88 years old and was diagnosed with Parkinsonism last year, a condition that leaves him mostly confined to a wheelchair, though he has still been a regular vistor to local sporting events.
