Traffic around any sports stadium can be a serious pain on game day, so Reliant has teamed up with METRO to provide free light rail rides to and from Reliant Park for every Texans home game in the regular season. Free rides begin at 5:30 a.m. on game day and run until midnight.

To promote the program, one of the trains will be covered in a custom graphic wrap featuring Texans’ All-Pro wide receiver Andre Johnson. You might have seen a similar light rail train covered in red with warnings to stop at rail crossings — not the worst advice considering the history the line has had with car accidents.

The new train will be unveiled to media this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the METRO Rail Operations Center, 1601 West Bellfort.
