The folks over at AIDS Foundation Houston released the results of the 18th Annual AIDS Walk Houston yesterday: Fifteen thousand Houstonians participated and they raised more than $900,000. That money will be distributed to AIDS Foundation Houston and 19 other local HIV/AIDS service organizations. Funds will be used to provide housing, food, education, counseling, and medical care for Houstonians affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Walk, which was presented in partnership with Chevron, is the largest of its kind in the state.
