No Kings Rally in Houston Attracts Thousands

Any fears that Houston’s No King’s rally might result in violence, rapidly dissipated along with the rain early Saturday. Marchers in the thousands circled city hall, declaring their opposition to any number of President Trump’s policies on immigration as well as education and healthcare funding cuts — and, what they see as Trump’s authoritarian posture without regard for the U.S. Constitution’s separation of powers. Mayor John Whitmire as well as an assortment of politicians from the Democratic Party showed up to encourage people to express their views.
