Mexico hosted the Ghana National Soccer Team at NRG Stadium on June 28, 2017 in Houston. Although this was only an international friendly fútbol match in preparation for the Gold Cup, both sides played hard and attacked at every opportunity. Mexico scored off a penalty kick late in the first half, and held on to win 1-0.
