Last Thursday, Press staffers formally welcomed Terry Coe as our new publisher. Food and beer were served, Coe stated his commitment to editorial independence, and reporters like him already. Coe grew up in Virginia, did his undergraduate work at William and Mary, and has an MBA from the University of North Carolina. He has worked for New Times Inc. for nine years; during the last four he was sales director for Phoenix New Times.
Regular readers may be surprised this week by the new look of the Press. With this issue we adopt the design program of our new owner, New Times Inc. The changes include a new cover format, with room to highlight more stories; a more comprehensive contents page; a larger, more readable type face, especially in our listings sections; and most importantly, completely new dining listings in which our food writer, Alison Cook, recommends the best restaurants in town. Enjoy!
