Okay, so the Press regularly bitch-slaps the Astros, so it’s only fair that we point out when they do something cool, too. And this Sunday, they’re doing just that: They’re one of six teams whose entire roster will wear the number 42 on Sunday, to commemmorate the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s first game with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The New York Times reports it all started when Ken Griffey, Jr. asked Commissioner Bud Selig if he could wear the magic number on Sunday. Word spread, and now every team in the league will have at least one player representing Robinson. As of today, every player on the Astros, Dodgers, Cardinals, Pirates, Phillies and Brewers will wear 42. Apparently, the Astros are recognizing a power higher than Clemens. And for that, they should be given their props. – Craig Malisow
