I never quite understood the phrase “can’t win for losing.”
That is, until the Chron told me about Michael Kubosh, a local bondsman who intentionally blew through the intersection of Milam and Elgin yesterday morning, hoping to get caught by a red-light camera so he could challenge the ticket in court.
He was trying to put the whole system on trial, man, but instead of getting a privacy-infringing citation in the mail, he was immediately pulled over by a cop and given a regular ticket.
Seems Kubosh was a little too boisterous about his plan, having announced his intentions publicly last week.
Better luck next time, buddy. โ Keith Plocek
