| Shot in the Third Ward |
A man was shot to death at his backdoor in a Third Ward house Sunday night, police say.
The incident occurred about 11:45 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Anita and Nettleton streets.
Police said the man, whose identity has not been released Perry Ray, 35, was shot once and was pronounced dead at the scene.
KTRK reports the victim had only recently moved into the neighborhood, and had apparently answered a knock at his back door.
