A power outage has knocked out all visitation at the Harris County Sheriff’s 701 N. San Jacinto Detention Center until Saturday, it was just announced.

So what, they can’t get the power back on for three days?

No. A check with the county sheriff’s Web site shows that visitation only is allowed on certain days. The regular schedule:

• Monday – NO VISITS
• Tuesday – 4 – 9 p.m.
• Wednesday – 4 – 9 p.m.
• Thursday – NO VISITS
• Friday – NO VISITS
• Saturday – 3:30 – 9 p.m.
• Sunday – 3:30 – 9 p.m.

So you might get ready for a longer line than usual this Saturday.
