Funny: I reread “Chipinque Cuisine” [by Robb Walsh, November 30] because of all the bitchy letters. Nothing changed, it was funny and 95 percent complimentary. Those West Houston metrosexuals are sure a tense lot.

He’s a machine: Great article [“Tough Guys,” by Dan Kramer, November 9]. I had the opportunity to play both football and baseball in the mid-’60s for the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. They turned us into lean, mean, fightin’ machines. Some of us went on to become professional players. The article brought back many fond memories.
