UH beat the Rice Owls by a score of 35-9 for the rights to the Bayou Bucket at Rice Stadium on Saturday night. This matchup was the last time the crosstown rivals will play each other in the foreseeable future. Houston transfer quarterback Conner Weigman was slow to warm up but finished with 188 yards in the air along with a passing and rushing touchdown. The crowds for both university had solid showings with rival chants being tossed back and forth throughout the game. Hopefully, the rivalry will be renewed in the next decade. (Photos by Jack Gorman)
