| Walter Hinton: Wanted in shooting death. |
A fight over a dog bite led to a man shooting three people in the Third Ward early Saturday morning, killing one.
Robert Jones, 60, was shot to death about 1:10 a.m. in the 3000 block of Truxillo.
Walter Hinton, 38, is wanted by the police in connection with the shooting.
HPD says Hinton was attending a party at Jones’s home when he complained Jones’s dog bit him. An argument escalated, and Hinton left to get a pistol. “Hinton began to accost Jones and then fired multiple times, striking the victim and two other males, HPD says. Hinton then fled in a 2000 white Chevrolet Impala, Texas license plate BL2-B827.
Anyone with information in this incident, or on the whereabouts of Hinton, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
