A man who tried to interrupt a Meyerland purse-snatching ended up dead early this morning, police say.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot when he attempted to stop a man from stealing a woman’s purse at a gas station at Beechnut and the West Loop about 12:45 a.m., HPD says.
The woman was unhurt, and the shooter got away.
