In the parking lot of a Walmart near the crime scene, a midday community rally was held Saturday for Jazmine Barnes. The seven year old was killed in a drive by shooting on January 6, 2018. Although the suspect had been described as a white man, on Sunday the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it had arrested and charged a black man, Eric Black Jr., with capital murder in the case. Hundreds attended the rally to comfort the family and demand justice for Jasmine. Photos by Doogie Roux.
