So, have I told you guys lately how big a fan of Brad Lidge I am? Well, I think he’s the greatest pitcher in the world. There’s no way that he would’ve blown that game against the A’s last night. I can’t believe that Phil Garner went with Dan Wheeler, then Trever Miller. He should’ve been using Brad Lidge.

The Astros lost last night by a score of 7-3. The Astros led 3-2 going into the 8th inning, but as is so often the case, the bullpen collapsed. And this time, I can’t blame Brad Lidge.

I don’t really know what to say about the game. And I’m not one of those who’s going to go placing the blame on the umpires. I think this team is just bad. Bad. And losses like last night’s loss always happen to bad teams.
For anyone who’s interested, today’s a day game, with first pitch set for a little after 1:00. It’s Jason Jennings going up against Chad Gaudin.
And, if Jesus Ortiz can be believed – about which I have serious doubts – Brad Lidge will no longer be an Astros come this time next week.
