The always feisty blog Kiss My Big Blue Butt is offering a good tale about Terriann Carlson, the public information officer for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
Carlson apparently thought she had a really, really humorous bit of Internet magic. It was a slide show purporting to demonstrate how digital editing can improve any image.
There was a picture of a somewhat ragged-looking model followed by a digitally improved version of the same photo. Then several similar examples. Then a picture of a horse’s ass that was transformed into…wait for it….Hillary Clinton!
Apparently unable to see the screen through her tears of laughter, Carlson โ in trying to forward the hilarity to pals โ instead sent it out to her media contact list. (Which we’re not on, for some reason.)
Ten minutes later she sent out a follow-up: “I am truly sorry for that unprofessional mistake. That was sent by error and I apologize if I offended anyone. Please accept my sincere apology.”
Carlson hasn’t returned our phone call, so further details of the kwazy hi-jinks, like how often she sends this stuff to pals, are unclear. โ Richard Connelly
