| Drug-related killing? |
Police think drugs have something to do with the broad-daylight gunning down of a man in his driveway yesterday.
Thomas James Ballantyne, 52, suffered multiple gunshot wounds at his northeast-side home about 4 p.m. Thursday.
“It is
believed he was robbed and shot multiple times in a drug-related incident,” HPD said. “Although there are no known witnesses to the shooting, neighbors and coworkers
told investigators an unknown black male in an older, white vehicle has been
seen at Ballantyne’s home every Thursday evening to conduct what appeared to be
drug transactions.”
The shooting happened in the 4500 block of Saunders.
