The contents of Cypress’ historic Tin Hall, said to be the oldest dancehall/special-events venue in Harris County, were auctioned off last Friday afternoon; the developers who bought the land in October 2014 plan to turn it into a high-end subdivision. However, owner Mark Martinez, who bought Tin Hall itself at the same time, says he plans to move the building — one piece at a time — to a nearby location on Spring-Cypress Road, where he hopes it will have “higher visibility.”
