A 22-year-old man was in his apartment at 2201 Hayes with his girlfriend when several men came in and shot them, Houston police report.
The identity of the man is pending notification of family members. The shooting occurred about 11:45 a.m. Saturday, July 21.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Senior Police Officer X. Avila reported that the man died at the scene.
“The female was transported to Ben Taub Hospital and is expected to survive her wounds,” their report said.
The men reportedly drove away in a small red four-door vehicle, police said.
