The White Oak Hike and Bike Trail along T.C. Jester is gonna have a hitch in its get-along starting Monday morning.
At 5 a.m. that day, the trail will be closed where it goes under the 610 Loop as part of road repairs, TxDOT says. It will stay closed at least until Fall 2013.
“Construction crews will be working on the total demolition and reconstruction of the four IH 610 mainlane and frontage road bridges at T.C. Jester,” the agency says. “For the safety of the traveling public and construction crews, the hike and bike trail will remain closed until the four bridges are rebuilt.”
