It’s a timeworn cinematic cliche — a car chase will end with one car running into a fire hydrant, ending up leaning on its side as water sprays all over it.
So why isn’t the water running in this picture? Cut!!
Judging from the tire tracks in the grass, someone decided to make a right turn at Waugh and Allen Parkway a little too soon this morning. Safe drivers usually wait to reach the intersection before making the turn.
An HPD spokesman tells Hair Balls the one-car, non-fatal rollover accident happened about 8:30 this morning, but no additional details were available.
