KBC provides direct personal care to elderly and disabled persons unable to perform daily tasks (grooming, cooking, eating, cleaning, taking medications, etc.) by assisting them with those tasks in their homes. The AA will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to payroll staff by interfacing with Medicare and other MCOs, Personal Care Attendants (PCA), and staff. Job Description: Assist accounting staff to maintain accounts receivable information for Medicaid, health insurance, and other payor sources; resolve within 48 hours discrepancies in billed and service hours by communicating with affected parties (PCA, payors, vendors, clients) to verify information submitted for billing; assist accounting to keep track of discrepancy files by sending monthly a list of discrepancy cases; refer unresolved discrepancies to supervisor; assist clients with scheduling orientation and assessment and PCA to prepare a Plan of Care; maintain professional attitude and confidentiality of client, employee, payor and vendor information. Minimum Job Requirements: Associateโs degree in Business Administration & Accounting. Required training: 6 months in business administration & accounting (Account Receivable), personal home healthcare, EVV. Required employment experience: 6 months in business administration & accounting (Account Receivable), EVV, personal home healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid/Private Insurances. Special skills, license/certification: Associateโs degree, work experience in EVV, personal home healthcare, and account receivable, and working knowledge and can identify differences between Medicare/Medicaid/Private Insurances. Special skills or other requirements: Fluency in English and Vietnamese. Other special skills or requirements: Computer skills and proficiency in QuickBooks and Vesta billers and MS Office (Word, Excel); knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures (such as word processing systems and file and record management); operate basic office equipment (fax, printer, multi-line phone systems); travel in the greater-Houston area about 30%-50% of the time; free of communicable disease or illness; able to understand and carry out directions and to multitask, lift at least 30 pounds, and kneel, bend and stoop without assistance; must possess strong work ethics and a positive, compassionate attitude, have previous experience communicating with Medicare/Medicaid and experience with payroll discrepancy resolution; must meet with vendors and others as first-level of contact and liaison.
