What you want from an all-day cafe is diner-style comfort food, great breakfast, and wait staff that will absolutely call you sweetie or darling or some other genteel southern greeting. When it comes to Humble City Cafe, check, check and double check. Just northeast of town in Humble, this old school restaurant decorated with old signs and farm implements, is long on charm and tasty food. The staff is friendly and attentive. They make quality recommendations, but you know exactly what this is. It’s great, southern cooking at a reasonable price with breakfast all day. Go for a Western Omelet or a classic club sandwich, but make sure to get tater tots on the side. This is small-town Texas only about 10 minutes from the airport.
