This queso isn’t that gooey yellow substance served with tortilla chips. Instead, the irresistible queso con ajo ($5.75) at Cafesito Cocina Mediterranea (3750 S. Mason Road, Katy, 281-717-4875) is made with brie. A small, whole round of brie lies on top of cloves of roasted garlic that are as soft as butter. This is all encased in phyllo pastry, baked to a flaky perfection. It comes with a fabulous mango-and-raisin chutney and crisp French bread.
