Not for dates: The garlic fries ($5.50) at Cedar Creek (1034 West 20th, 713-808-9623) come in a ten-inch bowl — too much for one, unless they’re the only thing you’re eating. Whoever said, “There’s no such thing as too much garlic” must have been thinking of these fabulous fries. Imagine some of the thinnest and crispiest fries you’ve ever eaten, nice and salty and covered in fresh, minced garlic and parsley. They’re addictive, especially with a couple of brewskies. But don’t eat them during a date.
