National Tequila Day lands on Friday, July 24, and Houston bars and restaurants are ready with tequila flights, specialty cocktails and weekend-long sips. Here’s where to find the best pours around town.

Arnaldo Richards’ Picos Restaurant, 3601 Kirby
Picos goes beyond margaritas with tequila-inspired food and drink specials from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26. The menu includes Tres Quesos al Tequila, Tequila Jalapeño Chicken, Spicy Tuna Tartare and Margarita Cheesecake, plus complimentary tequila samples Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Bar Buena, 2002 West Gray
Bar Buena celebrates its first anniversary with a tequila-filled weekend from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26. The River Oaks cocktail bar will offer extended Happy Hour specials, including $9 classic cocktails, $4 beers, $5 micheladas, taco specials and a Lotería-inspired game with prizes. 

Brennan’s, 3300 Smith
Brennan’s Courtyard Bar serves the $14 Matador, made with Blue Star Blanco tequila, Dolin dry vermouth and orange Curaçao. Pair it with bites like Caviar Beignets, Steak & Creole Tots or Seafood Cocktail.

The Chef’s Table River Oaks, 2055 Westheimer

The Chef’s Table River Oaks is celebrating National Tequila Day all month long with two tequila cocktails, including the Tequila Espresso Martini made with Patrón Reposado, Kahlúa and espresso, and the Mexican Martini with Patrón Silver, Cointreau, lime, olive brine and orange juice. Both drinks are available throughout July.

Christian’s Tailgate, multiple locations
Grab a burger and a tequila cocktail at Christian’s Tailgate, where all locations will offer $7 El Jimador Margaritas and $7 El Jimador Ranch Waters for National Tequila Day. 

Duck N Bao, 5535 Memorial, 5215 Kelvin
Dim sum meets tequila with Duck N Bao’s Azalea Margarita, a $12 cocktail made with tequila, Triple Sec, pineapple and lime. Pair the sweet-tart sip with Peking duck, dumplings and other savory small plates.

Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila, multiple locations

A margarita for $7.24? That’s the deal at Escalante’s on July 24, when the Tex-Mex restaurant will also offer $7.24 El Jimador shots all day at its Houston-area locations. The special nods to the restaurant’s deep tequila selection and scratch-made menu.

The Finn, 712 Main

Celebrate National Tequila Day with $7 margaritas at The Finn Cocktail Bar and HiFi on Friday, July 24. Pair the drinks with chef-curated bites during the downtown bar’s weekend celebration. 

Heights & Co., 1343 Yale
Head to Heights & Co. for $7 flavored margaritas on Friday, July 24 and $7 classic margaritas all weekend long. The lineup includes the Jala-Piña Margarita with pineapple-guava and spicy tincture, Watermelon Cooler Margarita with reposado tequila and tajin, and the Ancho Mezcal Margarita with ancho chili and orange liqueur.

Hongdae 33, 9889 Bellaire
Tequila gets a Korean barbecue pairing at Hongdae 33 with two tequila cocktails on the menu for National Tequila Day. Try the $11 Sour Apple Tequila with sour apple, lime and Sprite or the $11 Margarita Classic alongside grilled meats.

Hotel ZaZa Memorial City – Tipping Point Restaurant & Terrace, 9787 Katy Freeway

Tipping Point will offer its Pineapple Yuzu Margarita for $15. The cocktail combines Casamigos Reposado tequila, pineapple, yuzu puree, lime and agave for a tropical twist on the classic margarita.

Hungry’s, multiple locations
For an easy patio happy hour, Hungry’s is knocking $2 off margaritas from 3 to 6 p.m. on National Tequila Day. The special is available at locations across Houston, including Rice Village, Memorial and Woodway.

Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge, 95 Tuam
Jethro’s will offer an Aguasol Margarita menu featuring $12 specialty margaritas, plus an Aguasol Blanco and Reposado tequila flight. Round it out with the bar’s $7 smashburger and fries combo.

Long Weekend, 2044 E TC Jester

Long Weekend will offer a $27 taco-and-margarita combo featuring River Catch Fish Tacos with lime-marinated blackened cod, pickled slaw and special sauce, paired with the signature LW Margarita made with Socorro Blanco tequila, Desert Door Sotol, charred lime, Jalisco orange and fresh lime.

Mambo Seafood, multiple locations

Mambo Seafood is pouring its signature La Clásica ‘Rita for $3.99 on National Tequila Day. The classic rocks margarita is made with tequila, triple sec and the restaurant’s house sweet-and-sour mix, with the special available at participating Houston-area locations.

Mexican Sugar, 3505 West Dallas

Celebrate National Tequila Day with Mexican Sugar’s limited-time La Bandera Flight, available Friday, July 24 through Thursday, July 30. The trio of tequila cocktails includes Esperanza with kiwi, Unidad with coconut and a coconut paleta, and Valor with strawberry and freeze-dried strawberries. Order the full flight or your favorite cocktail on its own. 

Molina’s Cantina, multiple locations
Molina’s is pouring National Tequila Day specials all day on July 24, including $8.50 Molina’s Margaritas and $6.50 premium margaritas. Frozen and on-the-rocks margaritas are also available to-go by the gallon or half gallon.

Monkey’s Tail, 5802 Fulton

National Tequila Day brings $7 margaritas all day and a live DJ from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The weekend celebration continues Saturday with another live DJ set.

The Original Ninfa’s, 2704 Navigation, 1700 Post Oak
The Original Ninfa’s teams up with Tesoro Azul Tequila for a weekend-long National Tequila Day celebration from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26. Specialty cocktails include the $15 Kiwi Margarita, $17 A la Veracruz and $17 Cristalino Old Fashioned, plus a $15 Tesoro Azul flight board. Live mariachi performances will take place at the Uptown location Friday evening and Ninfa’s on Navigation Sunday afternoon.

Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House, 113 6th

Head to Pier 6 for tequila cocktails like the $10 House Margarita, $12 Island Buoy, $12 P6 Spicy Rita and $10 Watermelon Slush. Sip one on the waterfront with fresh seafood while celebrating National Tequila Day.

Pinkerton’s Barbecue, 1504 Airline, 3801 Farnham
Proceeds of Pinkerton’s Barbecue’s Glazed and Confused margarita supports Hogs for the Cause, which provides direct assistance to Texas families facing pediatric cancer. Made with reposado tequila, fresh lime, hibiscus-infused curaçao, agave and a rib glaze rim, the margarita is available year-round.

Turner’s Cut, 811 Buffalo Park 

Toast National Tequila Day with a seven-course tequila pairing dinner on Thursday, July 24. The one-night event features dishes paired with premium pours from Gran Centenario, Maestro Dobel, Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia and 1800 Tequila.

Winsome Prime, 5888 Westheimer
Winsome Prime debuts its exclusive Patrón Barrel Select Añejo, a private barrel collaboration with Patrón Tequila. Available July 24, the limited-edition tequila can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in specialty cocktails.
