The salchi-burger ($9) at Brisa Cocina Mexicana (5161 San Felipe, 713-993-9899) is the perfect marriage of pork and beef with Mexican ingredients, an overloaded burger that tastes sensational. The sandwich consists of a sesame seed-coated yeast bun, smeared with jalapeño mayonnaise and refried beans, topped with a half-pound beef patty, four slices of jalapeño sausage, a slice of ham, Chihuahua cheese, avocado, tomato, onion and lettuce. It comes with spicy fries, as if the burger alone weren’t sufficiently spicy, making for a massive meal.
