On a recent visit to my grandparent’s house, I was shocked (and slightly saddened) to find tons of freshly cut fruit and veggies lining the counters instead of the usual pies, chips and brownies. When I inquired about the change, I was informed that my grandfather was trying to lose a few pounds by sticking to a diet that he had been using for decades. He said it was a very strict 3 day regimen that always caused him to lose at least ten pounds. Intrigued, I asked to see it.
Amazingly it doesn’t look that bad. It certainly isn’t a master cleanse. You get to eat hot dogs and ice cream!
But there are lots of fruits, veggies and lean protein, so it can’t be too bad for you. I’m sure you’re primarily losing water weight, but you still get to eat a decent amount of food for such a quick weight loss. Next time my pants are feeling a bit snug, I’ll give it a try. For now, I’m putting it up here for you all to experiment with and report back the results. Enjoy!
