The food and bev industry mental health nonprofit has brought together Houston chefs, bakers, artisans and creators to curate a Galentine’s Goodie Bag, available for delivery or pickup on Thursday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at JUN, 420 East 20th. A sneak peek of some of the items featured include cookies from Blacksmith pastry chef Christina Au, a brisket popcorn kit from Top Chef star and B’Tween Sandwich Co. owner Michelle Wallace, sesame peanut palanqueta from Ema’s Stephanie Velasquez and more. Galentine’s Day proceeds will fund Mobile Mammogram Day on Monday, March 24.

Uchi executive pastry chef Ariana Quant and Cookie Rich chef and owner Lorin Peters joined forces for a savory/sweet Valentine’s Day sushi box collaboration. Peters created a special Fried Milk cookie based on Uchi’s signature dessert, and folks who preorder sushi boxes for delivery February 14–16 will receive a four-pack of Cookie Rich Cookies with two Fried Milk and two Coffee Cake + Espresso cookies. The Fried Milk cookie is a dark chocolate cookie with mini chocolate chips, cornflake buttercream and a dollop of salted caramel; and The Coffee Cake + Espresso is a white sugar cookie with mini cinnamon chips filled with espresso buttercream.
