Crawfish Season at The Pit Room

Friday–Sunday

Both locations of The Pit Room have officially kicked off crawfish season, slinging mudbugs for $13.50 per pound, $36 for three pounds, and $85 Feasts featuring three pounds of crawfish, two snow crab clusters and one pound of shrimp. All orders are cooked to order and served with traditional corn, potatoes and mushrooms, plus Andouille sausage. Crawfish will be available on the patio every Thursday and Friday after 1 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, while supplies last.

Chateau Lascombes Wine Dinner at Guard and Grace

Guard and Grace kicks off the weekend with this epic wine dinner, featuring five courses paired with the acclaimed Chateau Lascombes’ current releases, along with two select library offerings from its private cellar. Menu highlights include Beet Ravioli with lamb salami, Morel Mushroom Conserva with duck egg and heirloom polenta, 24 Hour Pork Sugo over mafaldine pasta finished with Calabrian chili oil and gremolata, Snake River Farms Ribeye Cap with chimichurri rojo, and Foie Gras Ice Cream with brown butter corn crunch.The evening will also include a special appearance by the Chateau’s newly appointed Estate Director, Axel Heinz. Tickets are $165 per guest, plus tax and gratuity.

Houston Crawfish Kickoff Festival at Guadalupe Plaza Park

Grab your friends and enjoy a Saturday of bands, DJs and dancing, games and activities, food and drink vendors, and buckets of tasty crawfish. Tickets are $10 for general admission, with All-You-Can-Eat admission for $35 and group passes available. Kids 8 and under are free.

Taste of Asia: KAT LunarFest 2025 at Katy Asian Town

From January 25 through February 15, folks can visit Katy Asian Town to discover local shops, enjoy great food, and win awesome prizes during its KAT LunarFest 2025. Stop by UMRE, 23119 Colonial Parkway #A1, to grab your rally card; then visit participating vendors in Katy Asian Town and collect stickers. Those who collect 5 stickers from different vendors can exchange them for prizes or keep going for bigger rewards. Keep your receipts from participating vendors and bring them to the UMRE office to trade for raffle tickets, then tune into Facebook Live to see if you’re a winner.

Galveston Restaurant Week

All month long

Galveston Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, February 2, with loads of island eateries featuring discounted prix fixe menus in benefit of United Way of Galveston, Galveston’s Own Farmers Market’s community-based food programs and Family Service Center of Galveston County. This year’s restaurant roster includes local favorites BLVD Seafood, Good Dough Kolache Bakery, Fish Company Taco, Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar, Mosquito Cafe and more. Two or three-course dinners run $20 to $60, two-course lunches are $10 to $30, and brunches are $10 to $40.
