Brunch Launch at Alora Restaurant & Bar in Montrose

This buzzy new Peruvian-Vietnamese concept launches its brunch service this weekend, running Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The new menu features inventive fusion dishes like Bò Né (Vietnamese sizzling steak and eggs) and Lima Hot Chicken & Pandan French Toast, along with signature cocktails on the pet-friendly patio.

New Brunch at MF Lobster & Seafood

The Autry Park hotspot it ushering in a new era with the arrival of chef Matt Cornelius, recently debuting a refined brunch service. The new brunch menu showcases creative, coastal-inspired dishes — think lobster eggs benedict, Maine lobster popovers, and a decadent Pain Perdu with candied bacon and whipped maple mascarpone — alongside elegant cocktails and desserts. MF Lobster & Seafood’s brunch service will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Woo-Fest: 11th Anniversary Celebration and Duchess Takeover at Wooster’s Garden

Saturday, 3 to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 4 p.m. to sold out

Wooster’s Garden is turning 11, and its inviting folks to step back in time for a vintage-inspired party, Woo-Fest, on Saturday. Expect a lively vendor market, live music, burlesque performances, cigar offerings, themed cocktails and a “Best Dressed” contest for guests in their best 1900s, Peaky Blinders, or Pre-Prohibition era attire. On Sunday, pop by for the Duchess takeover as the restaurant team pops-in for a Royal Culinary Pop-Up featuring Peach & Pistachio Burrata, Oysters Rockefeller, Blackened Chicken Pasta, and its signature Duchess Rose dessert (white chocolate, strawberries and elderflower foam). Homegrown Houston: A Tex-Asian Tasting Tour at Asia Society Texas Center

Saturday, 4 to 7 p.m.

Blood Bros. BBQ teams up with Asia Society Texas for Homegrown Houston: A Tex-Asian Tasting Tour. Sample bold bites from top chefs like Marvin He (Phat Eatery), Suu Khin (Burmalicious) and Ara J Malekian (Harlem Road), plus drinks, a live DJ and a backyard BBQ vibe. Tickets are $120 ($100 for members) and include tastings from all chefs.

’Tinis and Weenies at Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar

Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
1001 West 11th, 5333 Kirby

Loro is throwing its first-ever ’Tinis and Weenies bash at both its Heights and Kirby locations. Expect hot dogs, brats and even smoked carrots, all loaded with Asian-inspired toppings like kimchi relish and wasabi sauerkraut. Wash it down with the Dirty Dog martini — Tito’s vodka, pickle brine and a cocktail weenie — with proceeds benefiting the Houston Humane Society. Pups (especially weiner dogs) are encouraged to join the fun.
