One of Houston’s buzziest new restaurants recently launched its Sunday Brunch service, featuring chef Shawn Gale’s thoughtful takes on morning classics – think seasonal heirloom melons compressed with lemon verbena syrup; rye waffles studded with Homestead Gristmill rye berries and topped with candied Texas pecans and red wine blueberries; a delicate rolled omelette filled with Boursin, spinach, and lobster; and crème fraîche-glazed cinnamon rolls and cardamom buns that are pretty much must-orders. Reservations recommended (though walk-ins are welcome at the bar, lounge, and patio).
