National Scotch Day at Ouisie’s Table

National Scotch Day gets a three-day celebration at Ouisie’s Table, 3939 San Felipe, with a Peat and Passion menu ($85) available Monday, July 27 through Wednesday, July 29. The three-course prix fixe features dishes like charred octopus, Scotch-glazed short ribs and dark chocolate bourbon tart paired with Bowmore, Glenlivet 12 and Macallan 12 Scotch selections. An à la carte option with pairings is also available. 

31st Anniversary Specials at Pluckers Wing Bar

Pluckers Wing Bar finishes up its 1st anniversary celebration week with $5 Holy Mac on Monday, $8 Jumbo Tender Baskets on Tuesday, and $1 wings, $2.50 select pints and 90s-themed Trivia Night on Wednesday,.

Aperture Wine Dinner at Zaranda

Zaranda, 1550 Lamar, hosts an Aperture Wine Dinner with a reception at 6pm and seated dinner at 6:30 p.m. The four-course dinner pairs dishes including tiradito de hamachi, taco de pato, bistec asado and chocolate cremoso with Aperture Wine Cellars selections, with guidance from national sales manager Aaron Robertson. Tickets are $135 per person plus tax and gratuity. Guests must be 21 or older. Reservations required. 

$2 Tuesdays at Sushi by Hidden

Sushi by Hidden, 5216 Morningside, has relaunched its Tuesday Special, offering $2 sake and $2 engawa with the restaurant’s 12-piece chef-curated omakase. Walk-ins are welcome; reservations are recommended.

New Weekly Specials at Turner’s

Turner’s, 1800 Post Oak,has launched two new weekly dinner specials. Tuesdays feature Prime Affairs, a steak night with American wagyu, dry-aged New York strip and dry-aged ribeye served with potato purée, grilled asparagus and signature sauces, plus a family-style After Dark Board for groups. Wednesdays bring A Night in Little Italy, a dinner series from chef Luigi Shimaj featuring handmade Italian dishes like Meyer lemon linguine, half moon seafood ravioli and lamb ragù pappardelle with optional wine pairings.

An Evening of Effervescence: A Journey Through Champagne at Little’s Oyster Bar

Little’s Oyster Bar, 3001 South Shepherd, hosts an elegant Champagne dinner featuring a lineup of sparkling wines paired with a multi-course menu showcasing the restaurant’s seafood-driven cuisine. The evening runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $250 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Italian Wine Dinner at Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse 

Guests can enjoy a four-course dinner paired with wines from the Banfi portfolio at Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse, 24002 Northwest Freeway. The menu features fried burrata, Parmesan cream linguini with shrimp, wood-grilled filet mignon and olive oil cake, with each course matched to an Italian wine. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $109 per person, plus tax. 

Saturday, August 1 

A White Linen Soirée at Hotel Daphne 

Hotel Daphne, 347 West 20th, hosts A White Linen Soirée, a ticketed alternative to White Linen Night, with an evening of spritz-forward cocktails from Hypsi, live DJ sets and bites including East Coast oysters, shrimp with pepperoni butter, spiedini, focaccia pizzas and hot sandwiches. The courtyard celebration runs from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $125 and include valet, food and drinks.

Houston Restaurant Weeks

Returning Saturday, August 1 through Labor Day, September 7, Houston Restaurant Weeks brings back one of Houston’s biggest dining events, with prix fixe menus benefiting the Houston Food Bank. This year’s lineup features brunch and lunch options starting at $25 and dinner menus ranging from $39 to $59 at restaurants across the city. Since launching in 2003, HRW has raised $18.8 million for the food bank, providing the equivalent of 56.4 million meals for Houstonians facing food insecurity.
