Chef’s Dinner Party Series at Doke Concepts
Doke Concepts continues its multi-restaurant Chef’s Dinner Party Series, this time with Thomas Bille, Chef of Belly of the Beast and 2025 James Beard Winner. Evenings begin with champagne and first courses at Lazy Lane, continue with additional courses at The Green Room, and finish with dessert cocktails and s’mores at Heights & Co. MESA: A Chef Series at Mayahuel
Mayahuel, 811 Buffalo Park, hosts the next MESA: A Chef Series dinner from 6 to 10 p.m., featuring a collaboration between chef Luis Robledo Richards and the Barbacana team of chef Christian Hernandez and pastry chef Priscilla Treviño. The one-night-only dinner will feature a six-course tasting menu inspired by seasonal and globally influenced flavors. Graze & Gather: An Italian Charcuterie Workshop at Trattoria Sofia
Trattoria Sofia, 911 West 11th, teams up with Graze HTX for an interactive charcuterie workshop led by owner Alyssa Malenfant. Guests will learn how to build and style an Italian-inspired board using ingredients from the restaurant’s menu, with wine pairings from Wagner Family of Wines including Sea Sun and Mer Soleil. The class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on the covered patio. Tickets are $80 and include all ingredients and wine.

The Grand Match: A World Cup Wine Dinner at Hotel Granduca
Kicking off the World Cup excitement in Houston, Hotel Granduca, 1080 Uptown Park, hosts The Grand Match: A World Cup Wine Dinner at 6 p.m. in its inhouse restaurant, Alba. Limited to 30 guests, the four-course dinner pairs international wines and dishes in themed country matchups including France vs. Italy, Germany vs. Portugal and USA vs. Spain. Chef Maurizio Ferrarese’s menu includes potato pave with caviar, charred octopus and RC Ranch Texas Wagyu steak. Dinner is $125 per person.
Houston Chef Series: “A Night at the Theater” at Vic & Anthony’s
Landry’s Signature Group is rolling out its 2026 Houston Chef Series, “A Night at the Theater,” a multi-week dinner series pairing five-course chef-driven menus with classic film themes and cocktail or wine pairings at participating restaurants across Houston. This week features Glenn Espinosa at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, beginning at 7 p.m. and priced at $125 per person.

North of the Border Enchiladas Cooking Class at Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen
Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, 1140 Eldridge, hosts a hands-on cooking class with owner Sylvia Casares, who will teach guests how to make favorites including Lubbock-style enchiladas, Donna beef enchiladas and Hidalgo red enchiladas with carnitas. Attendees will also learn her tortilla-prep technique known as the Texas Two Step and get the scoop on Sylvia’s signature chili gravy. The class runs from 1 to 4pm and includes all materials plus a meal. Tickets are $70.
Brewsology Beer Fest at Houston Museum of Natural Science
Brewsology Beer Fest returns to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, 5555 Hermann Park, from 7 to 11 p.m., turning the museum into an after-hours craft beer festival with access to exhibits, science displays and beer tastings from more than 50 breweries and cideries. General admission starts at $60 and includes entry from 8 to 11 p.m. with unlimited samples, while early admission ($75) adds a 7 p.m. entry and specialty pours, and VIP tickets ($95) include early access, souvenir glassware and $30 in food credit. The event is ages 21 and up.

Hogs for the Cause: Trail of BBQ
Texas barbecue spots including Pinkerton’s Barbecue and Blood Bros. BBQ are partnering with nonprofit Hogs for the Cause throughout May for the Trail of Barbecue fundraiser supporting families facing pediatric cancer. Diners can contribute through register round-ups and specialty menu items like Pinkerton’s new “Glazed and Confused” cocktail, with proceeds benefiting the organization, which recently announced a $1 million investment toward pediatric cancer research initiatives at Texas Children’s.
Crawfish Ramen at Ramen Tatsu-Ya
Ramen Tatsu-Ya brings back its limited-time favorite, The Crawmen, a crawfish boil-inspired ramen bowl with tonkotsu broth, Crawmen tare, garlic, andouille, crawfish succotash, green onion and lemon – available through the end of May.

Squash Blossom Season at Hugo’s
Hugo’s, 1600 Westheimer, has brought back its annual seasonal squash blossom menu through the end of July. Chef Hugo Ortega’s limited-time offerings include squash blossom soup, squash blossom salad, quesadillas with Oaxacan cheese and roasted tomatillo salsa and goat cheese-stuffed squash blossoms, with dishes priced from $14 to $15.
Siete X Loro Collab at Loro
Loro, 5333 Kirby, 1001 West 11th, are collabing with Austin-based company Siete from May 12–25, celebrating backyard asada season with a limited-time menu featuring the Siete Sourdough tortilla. The lineup includes a $5.50 smoked tri-tip taco with pastrami-style brine, cabbage slaw and jalapeño botana sauce, a $12 dip sampler with smoked shishito queso, Thai green salsa and smoked salmon dip, and an $11 mango chamoy slushee with aperol, sake and sparkling wine.
