Menus are now live for Houston Restaurant Weeks, returning August 1 through September 7 and raising funds for the Houston Food Bank. The annual dining event features prix fixe menus with brunch and lunch options starting at $25 and dinner menus ranging from $39 to $59, depending on the restaurant. Since its launch in 2003, HRW has raised $18.8 million for the food bank, providing the equivalent of 56.4 million meals for Houstonians facing food insecurity. This yearโs lineup includes returning favorites and new participants from Brennanโs and Hugoโs to Doko and The Chefโs Table.
Etoile Cuisine et Bar, 1101-11 Uptown Park, is celebrating National Caviar Day on Saturday, July 18 with a Caviar Day Kit available for takeout. The kit includes a tin of Ossetra caviar, one dozen blinis, chives, hard-boiled eggs, capers and crรจme fraรฎche, serving four to six people for $78 plus tax. Orders must be placed in advance by calling 832-668-5808 and kits will be available for pickup all day July 18.
On Wednesday, July 22 from 6 to 8 p.m., Rainbow Lodge, 2011 Ella, will host its Spirited Summer Social featuring a tasting of housemade sausages paired with beer, wine and cocktails. The menu includes venison and boar knockwurst with curry tomato sauce, heritage kielbasa with garden mustard and green chorizo shrimp sausage. Tickets are $65 per person.
Bayou & Bottle, 1300 Lamar, continues its Master Whiskey Tasting Series in July with two upcoming tastings on Thursdays, July 23 and July 30. Each two-hour event includes a welcome cocktail, four whiskey tastings and light bites led by brand ambassadors and general manager Brianna Gonzales. The July 23 tasting features The Macallan paired with mac and cheese, while July 30 highlights Bulleit Bourbon expressions. Reservations are required.
Coming up on Sunday, July 26, folks can hit a special ticketed dinner with San Franciscoโs Michelin-starred Mister Jiuโs at Agnes and Sherman, 250 West 19th. The five-course seated dinner will highlight Chinese American cuisine through seasonal ingredients and classic techniques. A portion of proceeds from a signature cocktail will benefit the Chinese Community Center. The evening continues at Bar Daphne with cocktails, a live DJ and a chance to mingle with chefs Brandon Jew and Nick Wong. Tickets are $150 per person.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Chefs For Farmers food and wine festival, returning to Autry Park September 26 and 27. Celebrating its fifth year in Houston, the two-day festival will showcase Houston chefs and restaurants with different lineups each day, along with wine and spirit pairings, craft cocktails, local vendors, live DJs and interactive experiences. Participating restaurants include Belly of the Beast, Blood Bros. BBQ, Hugoโs, JลชN, Musaafer and more. Early Bird pricing is available through August 18, with tickets starting at $125 for General Admission single-day passes, $175 for VIP single-day passes, $199 for General Admission weekend passes and $279 for VIP weekend passes.
