Chefs Lung Ly of 93′ Til and Christian Hernandez of Barbacana will team up for a one-night-only French-Japanese collaboration dinner at Barbacana, 907 Franklin, on Thursday, July 30. Expect dishes like  nixtamalized tomato with country ham dashi, anago with fermented sunchokes and summer truffles, smoked mussels, Murray bass with fish tare and duck and leek pithivier. The menu runs $150 per person, with optional wine pairings available for an additional cost. Reservations are available through OpenTable starting at 5 p.m.

Crawfish Cafe is celebrating National Oyster Day with limited-time Oyster Sliders, available August 3–9. The sliders feature crispy fried oysters topped with coleslaw and house-made yuzu tartar sauce on soft Hawaiian buns.

On Wednesday, August 5, Caracol, 2200 Post Oak, will celebrate National Oyster Day by offering all-day happy hour pricing on its signature Gulf oysters. Get wood-roasted oysters with chipotle butter, cheese and toasted breadcrumbs for $15 per half-dozen or $30 per dozen, or opt for raw Gulf oysters on the half shell with salsa bruja, cocktail sauce and horseradish for $12 per half-dozen or $24 per dozen.

Whiskey fans can meet Yellowstone Bourbon Founder and Master Distiller Stephen Beam during an intimate, interactive tasting at Truluck’s, 5350 Westheimer, held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6. The $50 event includes four tasting stations featuring Yellowstone Bourbon expressions, chef-curated food pairings and a signature cocktail. 

Reservations are now open for Season XII at March, 1624 Westheimer, where chef Felipe Riccio turns his focus to Portugal. Launching Friday, August 7, the Michelin-starred restaurant’s latest seven-course tasting menu explores Portuguese cuisine through Atlantic seafood, Iberian pork, preserved ingredients and convent-inspired pastries, with wine pairings highlighting regions across the country. The seasonal menu will run through January 2027.

Now through September 30, Berg Hospitality is offering Summer Savings dining deals across participating concepts, including The Annie, Turner’s, B&B Butchers & Restaurant, Trattoria Sofia and more. Guests who dine between 4 and 6 p.m. and spend $100 or more before tax and gratuity will receive $25 off their check plus a $25 Reward Card redeemable at participating Berg Hospitality Group restaurants.
