The 2026 Katy Sip N Stroll takes place Saturday, April 25 at The ARK by Norris Event Center, 21402 Merchants Way, from 6 to 9 p.m. Ticketholders can expect an all-inclusive evening of food and drink tastings with more than 35 restaurants and 300-plus wine, beer and spirit selections, along with live music, artisan vendors and the Premier Culinary Awards competition. New farmers market alert! The Market at River Oaks District launches Sunday, April 26 and runs every second and fourth Sunday through October 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at River Oaks District, 4444 Westheimer, offering a biweekly outdoor market featuring local vendors, artisan goods and specialty food purveyors in The Park and along District Lane. Featured vendors include A&A Cuisine, Cafe Tesoro Mexicano, Cake & Bacon, Castenada Beef, Hive Bee Farm, Momma’s Tamales, Polska Kielbasa and Sweet Rockin’ Rolls, with additional makers and food vendors rotating throughout the season.
Caracol, 2200 Post Oak, continues its tasting menu series with A Culinary Journey Through Chiapas tasting menu, running Monday through Saturday for dinner now through May 7. Guests can enjoy a multi-course menu inspired by the coastal flavors of Chiapas including Gulf shrimp ceviche with coconut and chile, crispy masa garnacha with shredded beef and mole coloradito, and slow-roasted pork cochito chiapaneco with tamal de bola, followed by traditional dessert chimbo with piloncillo syrup and corn ice cream. On Monday, May 4, Pizaro’s Pizza Napoletana, 1000 West Gray, is hosting a one-night-only benefit dinner supporting the John Arena Foundation, a nonprofit focused on therapeutic pizza-making programs for Parkinson’s patients. The ticketed event ($105+) brings together Houston chefs for a multi-course tasting menu with drink pairings — including Nicole Bean of Pizaro’s with “The Cornbelt” cracker-thin pizza, Patti Delgado of The Original Ninfa’s with tres leches, Garrett Rice of Bayou Butchers with oak-smoked dry-aged tenderloin and more.
