In anticipation of its brick-and-mortar opening this summer, Brazilian and Cuban sandwich pop-up Yuma is previewing its menu at three pop-ups this weekend. To get a taste, pop by Third Place, 420 East 20th, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Berwick’s Bird of Paradise, 2020 Studewood, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; or 13 Celsius, 3000 Caroline, on Sunday from 1 p.m. until sell-out.ย

Texasโ€™ oldest brewery celebrates 32 years of beers with an all-day anniversary celebration on Saturday, featuring commemorative glassware, special beers and live music. Sunday closes out the birthday fete with a Special Rare Cellar Tasting from noon to 3 p.m. featuring rare cellar-aged beers and specialty pairings. Sunday tasting tickets are $80 and admission for Saturday is free.

Lankfordโ€™s The Woodlands will host its inaugural Brisket & Beer Bash on Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The all-day event features a Saint Arnold Brewing Company tap takeover with all 12 draft lines pouring the Houston breweryโ€™s beers. A $50 ticket includes a barbecue plate loaded with a half-pound of brisket, smoked sausage, mac and cheese, potato salad and green beans plus traditional barbecue fixings and a pint of Saint Arnold beer.

AAPI Restaurant Weeksย

Running through June 15, AAPI Restaurant Weeks returns with more than 50 participating Asian American and Pacific Islander-owned restaurants offering special menu items, discounts and promotions through a digital dining pass. A minimum $15 donation unlocks the pass while supporting rice and care package donations for low-income Houston seniors. Participating spots include Agnes and Sherman, Aka Sushi and dozens more across the city.
