Saint A hosts its 16th annual Feast of Saint Arnold on Sunday, August 30, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and dinner starting at 5:45 p.m. The $150 ticket includes a family-style, multi-course dinner and beer, with this year’s menu tracing Houston’s culinary history through dishes including chili-braised short ribs, smoked duck breast, smoked bone-in pork loin and flounder pinwheel. Proceeds benefit Texas Children’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
Houston Restaurant Weeks

It’s some of the final few weekends of Houston Restaurant Weeks, the annual month-long dining fundraiser that offers prix fixe menus at more than 200 restaurants in benefit of the Houston Food Bank. Menus run $25 for brunch and lunch options and $39 or $55 for dinners, available for dine-in and takeout, with this year’s participants spanning longtime favorites like Rainbow Lodge, Hugo’s and Pondicheri to newer names including Aiko, Bar Xolo, Chardon and Murray’s Pizza & Wine. Since its launch in 2003, Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than $18.8 million for the Houston Food Bank, providing more than 56.4 million meals to Houstonians in need.
