This violently violet cocktail tastes as sweet as it looks — which is what you get for ordering a champagne cocktail off a serious cocktail menu from a bartender who tells you his preferred drink is “Scotch, neat.” The other cocktail I ordered, an Old Fashioned, was far better. But this one was still the prettiest.
