Break out the white linen and prepare for a night of street parties, live music, cold drinks, and plenty of Heights hopping. This Saturday, August 1, White Linen Night returns for its 20th year on 19th Street, with the official party plus plenty of nearby bars, restaurants, and patios getting in on the fun.
White Linen Night Official Party, 19th from Yale to Ashland
The official Heights’ annual White Linen Night returns for its 20th celebration with a street party featuring live music, street performances, local vendors, food and drinks from Houston chefs plus interactive experiences along the historic 19th Street. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best (and coolest) white attire while supporting local businesses. Tickets are $20 in advance or at the gate. Children 12 and under attend free, and coolers and pets are welcome.
Agnes and Sherman, 250 West 19th
Those heading to the official WLN party can book a reservation at Agnes and Sherman’s Pit Stop, offering air conditioning, restrooms, a dedicated bar plus food and drink specials available throughout the evening. Tickets are $25 and guests must also have a WLN ticket.
Austin’s Backyard, 1221 West 20th
The fun-loving bar goes big for White Linen Night with two floors, a massive patio, live music and DJs keeping the party going all day and into the night. Doors open at 2:30 p.m with $20 early bird tickets; $35+ starting at 6 p.m.
Christian’s Tailgate, 2820 White Oak
The White Oak sports bar will be throwing a WLN bash starting at 4 p.m., with drink specials, food trucks, karaoke, live music, local vendors and games throughout the evening.
Heights & Co., 1343 Yale
The Heights favorite will offer $10 Espresso Martinis until 6 p.m. and a $12 Smashburger and fries combo available after 9 p.m.
Heights Bier Garten, 1433 North Shepherd
The open-air beer garden will keep the party going with live music from Good Time Muffin at 4 p.m., followed by a DJ spinning from 8 to 11 p.m. Guests can sip cocktails, grab a drink, and enjoy the White Linen-clad crowd with no cover charge. Doors open at 11 a.m., with reservations available via Resy and walk-ins welcome.
Hotel Daphne, 347 West 20th
Hotel Daphne invites folks to skip the crowds at its White Linen Soirée, a courtyard celebration featuring spritz-forward cocktails from Hypsi, live DJ sets and a menu of bites including East Coast oysters, shrimp with pepperoni butter, spiedini, focaccia pizzas and hot sandwiches. Tickets are $125 and include valet parking, food and drinks.
Lazy Lane, 923 Wakefield
Lazy Lane is serving up $10 margaritas all day for White Linen Night, plus its weekend happy hour from 2 to 5:30 p.m. with $9 cocktails and wines by the glass, $10 burgers and $12 Margherita and pepperoni pizzas.
M-K-T, 600 North Shepherd
This free White Linen Night celebration features an open-air market from 4 to 9 p.m., with local makers, plants, art, accessories and specialty goods, plus live entertainment, complimentary refreshments, raffles and more.
Tokyo Joe’s Shot Bar, 2001 Beall
Tokyo Joe’s gets in on the White Linen Night festivities with priority entry, DJs all night and a party atmosphere just steps from the Heights action. Expect sets from Jesse Seely and DJ Icon, plus food trucks on-site, cold drinks and a late-night celebration for guests 21 and up.
