Feta fetish: At Zoe’s Kitchen (3701 S. Shepherd, 713-522-7447), feta lovers can satisfy their yearnings with the grilled feta sandwich ($7.45), served with chips and one side. The recommended side is the marinated slaw. Why? Because it consists of shredded cabbage, scallions and — wait for it — crumbled feta cheese, marinated in a light vinaigrette. The sandwich itself is a delightful combination of tomato and basil, along with some delicious caramelized onions and, of course, feta, all laid out beautifully on two slices of rye bread, grilled just long enough for the cheese to melt. The tanginess of the feta permeates every bite and is countered beautifully by the sweetness of the onions.
