His mom was a schizophrenic — she killed one of her husbands and then committed suicide in prison. His dad (not the dead guy) was an alcoholic and thought letting his five-year-old put his finger in a light socket was a good way of teaching him not to do that. His friends waited until the morning to take him to the hospital when he fell into a bonfire on the beach one night so as not to spoil the party. To us, that’s a brutal life. To Christopher Titus, it’s fodder for a stand-up comedy routine. 8:30 p.m. House of Blues, 1204 Caroline. For information, call 888-402-5837 or visit www.hob.com. $27.50 to $30.
